Amira Abdelrasoul- Hemodialysis Membrane Research Program

Congratulations!

  • The Computers in Chemistry Division (COMP) of the American Chemical Society has organized a competitive “Women make COMP” symposium at the Fall 2021 ACS meeting.  We are delighted to announce that our group was selected to receive the honored invitation from the American Chemical Society to present our critical study “The application of Molecular docking of biocompatible enzymes interactions for Hemodialysis membrane research” at the Fall 2021 ACS meeting (August 22 – 26, 2021). We cannot wait for it!
  • We are pleased to announce that our research findings on the clinical hemodialysis membranes were presented  at the Canadian Society of Nephrology 2020.
  • We are pleased to announce that our undergraduate student, Joseph was awarded 2020 Good fellow Dean’s Undergraduate Research Award for his research contribution.

  • We are honoured that our research on clinical hemodialysis membranes was presented at the 19TH CONGRESS OF THE EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION.

  • We are honoured that our research on hemodialysis membranes was featured the 2019 Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation Research Showcase and Santé Awards.

  • We are delighted that our first group member, Mahboobeh Maghami has defended her MSc. thesis (Sep 2017-Aug 2019). Mahboobeh also joined Bioriginal in SK as a Research Analyst.  Congratulations Mahboobeh!

Medicinal Chemistry Researcher – 2019

We are delighted to welcome our new team member Shaghayegh Saadati (PhD Medicinal Chemistry).

Shaghayegh Saadati completed her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry at University of Kurdistan then, she received her M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry at University of Kurdistan in 2011. Then she pursued her graduate studies and the PhD degree in the field of Medicinal Chemistry at “Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Services” in Tehran. Her research focused on design, synthesis & molecular modeling studies of new quinazolines and the evaluation of their cytotoxic influence. She joined Dr. Abdelrasoul research team as Visiting Researcher for her interest to apply her skills and knowledge to contribute in solving current health problems in hemodialysis.
